“I focused on MCC from day one: and the bubbles got in my blood” says Pieter Ferreira. It`s not an overstatement; widely known as Mr Bubbles, looking back over the last 30 vintages Pieter says he`s still on a quest “to find the perfect bubble”. We`re close,” he says with a smile. Pieter, with his wife Ann has released their first own-label MCC, and wine critic Christian Eedes reckons it`s ”categorically the best bottle-fermented sparkling wine I`ve ever tasted from South Africa”.
Pieter is chairman of the Cap Classic Producers Association (CCPA) and his dedication and craftsmanship has seen him reap countless high profile awards both locally and abroad, including his MCC being enjoyed by Barrack and Michelle Obama prior to the Acceptance Speech in 2008.
